With respect to global movement towards a Net Zero carbon economy, Customer acknowledges Manufacturer’s ambitions to reduce its greenhouse gas emissions in accordance with Manufacturer’s Net Zero policy as published from time to time. Manufacturer acknowledges that all its Scope 1, 2 and 3 greenhouse gas emissions are part of Customer’s Scope 3 emissions and that Customer is committed with Science Based Targets to achieve Net Zero emissions in its operations by 2040 or earlier. The parties shall cooperate to agree and implement appropriate actions to achieve Net Zero in Customer’s supply chain, so far as commercially and technically practicable, by 2040 with the specific details to be agreed between them in a written action plan which will be updated from time to time in the light of scientific, technical and regulatory developments.
